Product Overview

Socketweld Pipe Fittings

A Socket Weld is a pipe attachment detail in which a pipe is inserted into a recessed area of a Valve, fitting or flange. In contrast to buttweld fittings, Socket Weld fittings are mainly used for small pipe diameter (small bore piping); generally for piping whose nominal diameter is NPS 2 or smaller.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

A Socket Weld fitting is a pipe attachment in which the pipe is inserted into a recessed socket area of the fitting and then fillet welded. It is used for small bore piping (NPS 2 or smaller) in high-pressure applications.

Our socket weld fittings are manufactured as per ASME B16.11 covering forged fittings in socket-weld and threaded types.

Yes, all our fittings are supplied with Mill Test Certificates (MTC) as per EN 10204 3.1/3.2, documenting the chemical and mechanical properties of the batch.
